Abrasive Compound
A mild alkaline base, general-purpose abrasive compound made with iron-free white aluminum oxide. Gives long, aggressive and sustained cut on even the hardest metals. Results in light color and yields a relatively smooth surface finish.
Abrasive for Fine Finishing & Fast Reduction of r.m.s. Readings
A very mild alkaline fine-finishing compound for fast reduction of micro-inch readings on relatively smooth surfaces. The abrasive constituent is a slightly coarse abrasive flour for use in vibratory finishing. Restores virgin metal color in short time cycles after longer abrasive cut-down runs or in preparation for burnishing. In controlled velocity or vibrators, No. 42 is good for light deburring with good finish on all metals or alloys.
Burnishing or Coloring Compound
An all-purpose compound in powder form that imparts virgin metal color and high gloss to all metals and alloys when used on clean surfaces. No. 43 is a mild alkaline multi-burnish compound with lubricating, cushioning, soil suspending and lustering properties. It works well with any media, leaves no film on the work, and performs in both vibratory and controlled finishing equipment.
Burnishing Compound
An all-purpose liquid burnishing compound designed to yield color and luster on non-ferrous metals and alloys. It also works on ferrous metals. Strong results come from steel ball burnishing on zinc and aluminum in both vibratory and barrel finishing equipment. It will not work in high concentration. No. 45 is used in high dilution with abrasive or non-abrasive media for deburring and cleaning, and it meets anti-pollution control requirements.
Burnishing Compound
A slightly alkaline liquid burnishing and cleaning compound. It works for burnishing, deburring and cleaning all types of metals and alloys across a wide range of applications. It is ideal for flow-through systems and suits both vibratory and barrel finishing. Easily treatable in wastewater plants. For zinc and aluminum die cast, use No. 45 Burnishing Compound.
Dosing: Flow-through: 1 to 2 oz per gallon of water. Set the flow rate to deliver 1 gallon of end-use solution per hour for each cubic foot of vibrating container capacity. For a 3 cubic foot machine, meter at 3 gallons per hour. Manual addition (batch runs): 1 to 2 oz per cubic foot of vibrating container capacity.
Burnishing Compound
A liquid burnishing compound fortified with water-based solvents to add cleaning and degreasing power. Suited for steel media burnishing of brass, bronze and related alloys, especially when parts carry a high soil and oil load. It also works for burnishing aluminum, zinc die cast parts and other items of high lead content. Keeps media bright and clean.
Dosing: First use or after an extended shutdown: rinse steel media thoroughly, add compound per mix directions, run the media with no parts for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse again. Flow-through: 1 to 2 oz per gallon of water.
Gives strong steel media burnishing results, especially for brass, bronze and related alloys. Good results come on aluminum, zinc die cast parts and other items of high lead content. This product works with steel media only and is ineffective with other types of media.
Dosing: First use: rinse steel media thoroughly, add compound per mix directions, run the media with no parts for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse out. Flow-through: 1 to 2 oz per gallon of water. Set the flow rate to deliver 1 gallon of end-use solution per hour for each cubic foot of vibrating container capacity. For a 3 cubic foot machine, meter at 3 gallons per hour. Manual addition (batch runs): 1/2 to 1 oz per cubic foot of vibrating container capacity.
Cleaner
An all-purpose liquid cleaner developed for ferrous metals and effective on all metals and alloys. It has increased capacity for lowering surface tension and is a good general-purpose cleaner and degreaser. Keeps media clean.
Dosing: Flow-through: 1/2 to 1 oz per gallon of water.
Cleaning & Neutralizing Compound
A multi-purpose, mildly alkaline granular powder, highly concentrated and completely water soluble. Designed for ferrous metals, it is often used in low concentrations with abrasive or non-abrasive media for cleaning and deburring softer metals and alloys such as zinc and aluminum. Keeps media clean and free cutting, assures good color, and works as a degreaser. When pre-dissolved, it serves as a high-quality flow-through compound. No. 49 is also effective as a neutralizer after acid descaling.
Cleaning & Neutralizing Compound
A highly concentrated alkaline cleaning, degreasing, neutralizing, washing and anti-corrosive compound in granulated powder form. A low-cost, effective general-purpose item for vibrators, tumbling barrels, dip tanks and metal washing machines. The degree of alkalinity confines No. 50 to ferrous metals only. Strong as a short-cycle degreasing compound and economical as a neutralizer following acid descaling. Removes abrasive films and sludge after long cutting runs. Will attack gum rubber liners when used continuously and exclusively as the sole agent.
Cleaner & Deburring Compound
A mild alkaline, highly concentrated liquid general-purpose compound designed for ferrous metals that yields good results on many non-ferrous metals. Produces good color and brightness on zinc-based and aluminum die casting, phosphor, bronze and other alloys when used at a maximum concentration of 1 oz or less per gallon of water. Suited as a flow-through compound in batch, semi-automated batch and fully automated continuous applications. A balanced formula for abrasive and non-abrasive media. Cleans, brightens, lubricates and degreases with good corrosion inhibiting properties. Contains no chromates, phosphates, nitrites or nitrolotriacetate (NTA). Rapidly biodegrades and is easily treatable in wastewater plants.
Dosing: Flow-through: 1/2 to 1 oz per gallon of water.
Premium Rust Inhibitor
A proprietary water-soluble corrosion inhibiting product designed for ferrous metal surfaces. It is non-flammable and goes into solution readily. Ideal for spray washer systems as a final rinse or for soak tank applications.
Dosing: Soak: charge 3 to 4 oz per gallon of water into a clean tank. Dip clean parts, allow adequate contact time, then drain back into the tank, air dry and store indoors. Spray washer: general use dilutions range from 1/2 to 4 oz per gallon. Contact your sales representative for this and other applications.
