Plastic, Polyester and Synthetic Media
Richwood plastic, polyester and synthetic media is built for parts that need a fine finish, a plating-ready surface, or low distortion. Grades run from super fast cutting standard media through heavyweight zircon blends, long-life Ultima grades, and silica pre-plate formulations.
Each grade is identified by color, density in pounds per cubic foot, and the RMS finish range it produces. Shapes are ordered by the codes in the shapes chart.

| RP 1050 (Standard) | Red | 60 | 10-14 | Fast cutting, moderate wearing. Blends quartz abrasive and polyester media. Excellent for deburring and surface removal on all metals when light color and a good finish are required. |
| RP 2000 - Nos. 70-71 (Standard) | Lt. Green | 60 | 6-10 | Industry standard. Special blends of silica abrasives, good cut and wear. Produces a galvanized style finish suitable for plating. |

| RP 2050 - No. 73 (Standard) | Tan | 54 | 6-10 | About 5% less cut than #2000 but about 12% longer life. With the proper compound, can produce decorative plating surfaces. |
